Data Strategy study for interoperability of Electric Vehicles

The problem
Barcelona City Council manages the whole charging network for electric vehicles of the Barcelona urban area as well as the whole Catalonia region.
They needed a data strategy to reach interoperability of the charging network locally, regionally as well as at European level.
The solution
Mosaic Factor developed a data analysis of the EV charging network followed by a data strategy and action plan.
The proposed model included 3 phases, with 2 transitions in time, starting from a direct management model, evolving towards an indirect management model a year later, to end up in a license model once the market conditions are met to be able to do so.
This included a specific for Data management model of the public charging network for Barcelona City Council to follow.
Results
The City Council can keep the situation under control and achieve the Electric Vehicle interoperability locally and in the whole Catalonia region, while ensuring the interoperability at European level.
